What would you think of a visit to the city of Stirling with all its history? Stirling Castle would be one of the possibilities of visiting as well as the national Wiliam Wallace monument. You undoubtedly know this person from the film Braveheart with Mel Gibson. This historic tale is shown here by means of exhibitions and there are splendid walks in the surroundings. Of course the city of Stirling itself is worth examining, as it’s very worthwhile to sample the atmosphere.
If you are in the Stirling area, you might as well visit the well-known Glen Turret Distilleries. Here you can see, under accompaniment of a guide, how a traditional whisky distillery works. Of course you can also try a 'wee dram'!
Also very much worth the effort is Glen Coe, a splendid nature area for brilliant walks climbing of the mountains and hills.
Further north lies Oban which also worth it. From there you can take a ferry to the various isles in the area such as the Isle of Mull.
