Booking conditions

On arrival you must sign a registration form which indicates that you have read and agreed with these booking conditions. You have no claim on the manager(s), administrator(s) and or agent(s) of the Craigieburn Guest House.Craigieburn Guest House cannot be held responsible for possible errors in the text as they are displayed on the Internet site and we accept no liability for damage, which can arise as a result.We, the administrator(s) of Craigieburn Guest House preserve the right, at all times, to modify the data which is displayed on the website. We will try to report any and all modifications to the site to those involved.

 The accommodation is for holiday rent only and cannot be subleased. Only the persons who are mentioned on the booking form can stay in the room and spend the night, unless differently discussed with us, the proprietor.

Deposit: 50 percent of the total amount will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable.

Cancellation: If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of a no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

A standard hiring starts 16:00 on the day of arrival and finishes on departure day at 10:00. Deviations can be accepted after consultation and in case of late checkout may be charged.

No extra deposit will have to be made on arrival, but if guests are staying for prolonged periods, we may request regular (often weekly) payments to cover your stay with us.

In the case of cancellation any deposits made are non-refundable. If you had paid the full amount before arrival, this will not be refunded in case of cancellation. Should your stay with us end prematurely for whatever reason, no monies will be refunded. For this reason, we strongly recommend taking out a cancellation or travel insurance.
 
Pets are allowed, subject to them being house-trained and are kept under strict supervision. The pets may not come in contact with furniture and other gentle substances such as coverlets

Expectations of you and your group

You must not:

  • smoke anywhere inside the premises. Permitted smoking areas will be identified on site. Smoking on the premises outside of the designated smoking area will result in a £150 fine;

  • bring any (potentially) dangerous or hazardous materials or equipment onto Craigieburn Guest House premises;

  • use any electrical/gas appliances in the premises that may set off the fire alarm system, such as toasters, mini cookers, camping gas, paraffin, barbeques or portable grills;

  • tamper with any thermostat, fire alarms or emergency equipment;

  • remove, damage or destroy any Craigieburn Guest House property; or

  • cause unreasonable disturbance to our other guests or any of Craigieburn Guest House staff.

If you or your group cause damage or loss of any kind to the hotel, other guests or their property, you (as the person making the booking) will be responsible for that damage or loss and you shall be liable to pay to Craigieburn Guest House on demand the amount required to make good or remedy such damage or loss.

 

You must not advertise, market or otherwise offer any Craigieburn Guest House room for sale either on its own or as part of a combined offer. Craigieburn Guest House will not honour any reservations made in this way and does not accept any liability for doing so. You must not resell or transfer your reservation (or any part of it).

 

If you or your group cause damage to the hotel, other guests or their property, or otherwise breach any of these terms and conditions, Craigieburn Guest House reserves the right to:

  • cancel your reservation with immediate effect and (if appropriate) eject you from the Craigieburn Guest House premises;

  • retain all sums paid by you and/or charge you the full amount of your reservation; and/or

  • refuse future reservations from you and/or refuse you entry or accommodation at any of our hotels.

 

Craigieburn Guest House will not be liable for any refund or compensation in such circumstances.

 

No responsibility will be accepted in the case of accidents or wounding to persons and or damage to property while on the grounds or if one undertakes activities on the grounds of the landlord or any sickness that arises as a result of these activities.

Damage

You agree to maintain the furniture, the rented room(s), all apparatuses and linen in a neat, clean state during the period of letting. Furthermore, you are obliged to report and pay for any damage which is caused during the period of hiring.

 

Craigieburn Guest House reserves the right and you hereby authorise us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to your room or the Hotel during your stay (including without limitation specialist cleaning or fines for smoking anywhere inside the premises) or for any items that are missing or soiled when you leave. If you are signing on behalf of a group, your credit/debit card can be used to cover for any damage incurred in any of the rooms of your group.

Any damage or soiling caused by pets will be chargeable and we reserve the right to charge your debit or credit card without notice.

All bedrooms are non-smoking. Any bedrooms tainted by residual tobacco odours will be specially cleaned and aired over a 24 hour period and all resulting charges, both actual and loss of business will be charged to the credit/debit card provided to secure the booking without additional consent.

Parking

Craigieburn Guest House has its own car park, there may be limited spaces available and space may not be available for the duration of your stay. Cars and their contents are left at the owner’s/customer’s own risk. We do not accept responsibility for loss or damage (save as may not be excluded or restricted by applicable law).

Availability

With a booking it is assumed that the room is put at your disposal during the agreed dates. In the event that this would not be possible due to circumstances out with the control of the proprietors, we cannot guarantee that we have an alternative room for you. In that case, all monies paid will be refunded. In such an event, we will do everything to inform you of any such a calamity before you commence your holiday when this is applicable.
